Welcome to my blog. I will be documenting my life in the Netherlands daily.

I'm a Chinese-Canadian from Toronto, Canada.

Keukenhof Gardens

Keukenhof Gardens

I haven't been in the Netherlands around this time of the year, so I really wanted to go see the Keukenhof Gardens! I love flowers, they're beautiful and when there is a lot of them in one room, it smells amazing. I didn't know there were so many types of tulips, until I visited the gardens. I love discovering their names.

The garden is quite large... you would need at least 4-5 hours to walk through the whole place. It was definitely worth the time though! I would love to visit again. Expect the food to be a bit overpriced, so it's better to pack a lunch of your choice. An apple pie or carrot cake is about 4 euros a slice =\ and I also do not recommend the ice cream there... it's very soft.

Make sure to order your tickets online to skip the line and save paper :)

Get ready for some beautiful flowers! :) This post is photo heavy.

Look at these tropical colours! The palm tree looking ones are quite unique.

These dark burgundy ones are so beautiful! They look purple/red in certain lighting.

This is one of Ric's favourite flowers :)

These red beauties are actually called the "Red Riding Hood" :)

You can walk up to the windmill and see the field of tulips from above. It's beautiful!

There is a mini barn and a child's playground. The llama's are so cute!
