Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I will be documenting my life in the Netherlands daily.

I'm a Chinese-Canadian from Toronto, Canada.

Shrimp is expensive.

Shrimp (Garnalen) is pretty damn expensive here. I was craving for garlic shrimp, so I thought I would just go to the grocery store and pick up some pretty large shrimp (which isn't easy to find by the way). When I say large, I mean a full size adult shrimp that should be about 10cm in length.

There's one Asian super market nearby, so I'll let you guys know how that goes! :) Hopefully, they have some large shrimp there. I'm starting to really miss my mom's cooking :(

Albert Heijn sells a variety of shrimp, but they're all very small. The package is also very small... like ~ 5" x 2" in size. They cost from 3-5 euros?
